Livoltek’s Hybrid Solution Powers Up Company Dormitory, Achieves its Energy Independence

Implementation of joint research and development projects, deployment of innovative solutions, and execution of student PBL projects are the main pillars of the collaboration between the Silesian University of Technology and Livoltek Polska sp. z o.o., a company in the renewable energy sector.

On February 20, 2025, Livoltek Polska sp. z o.o. officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Silesian University of Technology in Poland, marking a new chapter in their collaboration in the field of renewable energy.

The agreement was signed by Dr. hab. inż. Marcin Staniek, Prof. of Silesian University of Technology, Vice-Rector for Cooperation with the Socio-Economic Environment, and Sebastian Fibrand, Country Manager of Livoltek Polska.

“For the University, it is crucial to collaborate with companies operating in the field of renewable energy and RES (Renewable Energy Sources) technologies. Through this partnership, both scientists and students of Silesian University of Technology will be able to conduct research using equipment provided by the company,” said Dr. hab. inż. This collaboration will focus on technological innovation, research support, and talent development, aiming to advance the application and development of clean energy technologies and contribute to the global energy transition. During the meeting on the same day, the Livoltek team and the Rector of the Silesian University of Technology held in-depth discussions on future collaboration directions and outlined a series of concrete plans.

Under the agreement, Livoltek will provide equipment to support scientific research at the university, facilitating the development and application of cutting-edge renewable energy technologies. Additionally, the two parties will jointly establish a research station for long-term data collection and research analysis, further validating the reliability and efficiency of the technologies.

As part of the agreement, scientists from the Silesian University of Technology will analyze the performance of devices such as energy storage systems and inverters, study their durability, and explore their integration with photovoltaic installations.

“As we know, RES is a critical and significant topic in the era of energy transformation. We hope that our scientists can contribute to creating innovative solutions,” said Dr. inż. Daniel Węcel from the Faculty of Environmental and Energy Engineering at Silesian University of Technology.

Furthermore, Livoltek plans to set up a student learning corner on the university campus to provide students with practical opportunities and cultivate future professionals in the renewable energy sector. To deepen the collaboration, Livoltek and Silesian University of Technology will jointly develop academic programs, promoting the widespread adoption of sustainable development principles.

“Silesian University of Technology is a highly esteemed institution, which is why we are delighted to sign this agreement. It offers us the opportunity for mutual knowledge exchange. We offer full support by providing our products for scientific and research purposes. We also aim to promote the technologies we specialize in, such as energy storage systems, inverters, and electric vehicle chargers. This will allow young people to familiarize themselves with these technologies during their studies,” emphasized Sebastian Fibrand, Country Manager of Livoltek Polska.

This collaboration represents a significant step in Livoltek’s strategic layout in the renewable energy sector and another milestone in its commitment to sustainable development. Moving forward, Livoltek will continue to dedicate itself to driving innovation and application in clean energy technologies, contributing to the global energy transition.
